Hi, I’m Paulo Miguel, the person behind The Buyer’s Angle.
I started this site after getting frustrated with how supplement marketing
actually works: proprietary blends that hide real ingredient amounts,
“clinically proven” claims with no citation behind them, and reviews that
read suspiciously like ad copy. I wanted a place I could send people (and
myself) that treats them like adults—here’s what’s actually in the
bottle, here’s what the research does and doesn’t support, and here’s when
the honest answer is “skip this one.”
How I approach every product:
- I read the label first—full ingredient list, actual dosages, not
just the marketing bullet points. - I check claims against publicly available research (PubMed, NIH,
gastroenterology association guidelines) rather than repeating whatever the
brand’s page says. - If a product hides its formula behind a “proprietary blend,” uses harsh
stimulants dressed up as a “cleanse,” or leans on a disease-cure claim that
supplements legally can’t make, it gets flagged or rejected—that’s in
the reviews themselves, not just a policy statement. - When the evidence is weak or mixed, I say so. “The research here is
thin” is a normal sentence on this site, not a marketing failure.
I’m not a doctor, and nothing here is medical advice—see our
Medical Disclaimer. What I bring is time:
the hours of reading labels, comparing studies, and cutting through hype so
you don’t have to do it at 11pm standing in a supplement aisle.
Some links on this site are affiliate links—see our full

which products get recommended or which ones get a “skip this” verdict.
